Nuremberg, Germany, October 2, 2008--A young European tree frog sits on the finger of a keeper at the Nuremberg Zoo in southern Germany. The zoo is breeding the frogs for reintroduction to the city and its surroundings, Agence France-Presse reports.

European tree frogs are a species of least concern, according to the IUCN, though populations are declining in fragmented habitats across much of its Western European distribution. Habitat loss and collection for the pet trade are primary threats.
