Budapest, Hungary, October 3, 2008--A boy and an Irish wolfhound, one of the world's biggest dogs, face off at the European Dog Show. An estimated 20,000 dogs attended the event, Europe's largest canine gathering. A Pembroke Welsh corgi won best in show.

Irish wolfhounds are noted for their power, swiftness, and keen eyesight, according to the American Kennel Club. At a minimum, male show dogs should stand 32 inches (81 centimeters) and weigh 120 pounds (54 kilograms).
