Qeshm Island, Iran, September 10, 2008--Southern Iran was rocked by a 6.1 magnitude earthquake that turned walls to rubble in the village of Zeynabi.

The community is located on Qeshm Island, where six people were killed and 46 injured according to reports from the island's governor.

Qeshm lies in the Persian Gulf's Strait of Hormuz, an important waterway through which an estimated 40 percent of the world's crude oil must pass on its way to market.
