Hortobagy, Hungary, September 30, 2008--A man frees a rehabilitated eagle onto the Great Hungarian Plain about 124 miles (200 kilometers) east of Budapest.

The injured eagle was brought to the Budapest Zoo this summer, where it healed. Scientists marked the eagle with an identification band on its left leg prior to release.

More than a hundred different species of birds can be spotted on the Great Hungarian Plain, making it a top destination for birding enthusiasts.
