Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, August 14, 2008—A worker passes stored wind-turbine blades at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast.

The blades are headed to the Robin Rigg offshore wind farm in the Solway Firth in Scotland, near the border with England.

The wind farm, due to be completed in October, will be one of the largest in the United Kingdom. Its 60 turbines are expected to produce 180 megawatts of electricity—enough to power 117,000 homes.
