Yangon (Rangoon) residents line up for drinking water on May 5, 2008, after a weekend cyclone left thousands homeless and without clean drinking water.

Emergency aid groups are working to provide water and temporary shelter for the storm victims.

"One of the biggest needs right now is to stave off disease," Red Cross spokesperson Eric Porterfield told CNN.
