Smashed fishing boats lie in the port of Yangon (Rangoon) on May 4, 2008, in the aftermath of a powerful cyclone that hit Myanmar (Burma) over the weekend.

The vast delta region outside of Yangon was also affected, Khin Maung Win, a spokesperson for the Democratic Voice of Burma, told CNN, adding that entire villages had been wiped out.
