Zamora, Spain, March 19, 2008—Members of the Hermandad del Santísimo Cristo de las Injurias light their candles in preparation for a Holy Week procession in the northern town of Zamora.

The brotherhood was established in 1924 to accompany a statue from the Cathedral of Zamora through town depicting Christ dead on the Cross . Their traditional red velvet caperuzos, or hoods, represent Christ's blood.
