Israeli photographer Yonathan Wetzman captured this image of an African girl's dress caught in a border fence between Israel and Egypt on August 20, 2007.

The Jewish state's border with Egypt is, in places, unguarded and unmarked. But on February 6, 2008, Israel—driven in part by the January 23, 2008, breach of the Gaza Strip-Egypt barrier—announced plans to completely fence the border with Egypt.
