U.S. photographer John Moore captured the shock and disorientation of the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto on December 27, 2007.

Bhutto had just left an election rally in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, when a bomb blast caused a "rapidly fatal head injury," according to a report issued by the U.K.'s Scotland Yard police force on February 8, 2008.
