Adloun, Lebanon, January 24, 2008A Lebanese youth burns tires during a workers' demonstration against rising prices in the country.

Hundreds of people protested across the country during a nationwide labor strike blocking roads and preventing travelers from reaching the airport, the news agency AFP reported.

Ghassan Ghosn, head of the General Confederation of Workers of Lebanon, said the strike is to force the government to raise the minimum wage and tackle inflation, according to AFP.
