California Fires Force Animal Evacuation

Fifty miniature horses, including 12 world champions, are transported from their home in Valley Center, California, to a safer ranch nearby on October 23, 2007.

Mandatory evacuations pushed the horses and their owners to flee from the path of the Rincon Fire, one of 20 fires that have destroyed more than 1,500 homes since Sunday.
