An open plaster cast reveals neck bones from a giant dinosaur recently discovered in Argentina.

The fossilized spine of the plant-eating titanosaur weighs nearly nine tons, and one vertebra was measured at more than three feet (a meter) tall.

Scientists estimate that the newfound dino, dubbed Futalognkosaurus dukei, was so big that its neck alone likely stretched some 56 feet (17 meters).
