Beijing, China, August 28, 2007—Zhang Huimin, 8, runs into Tiananmen Square, completing her journey that began in South China's Hainan Province. (See map of China).

Zhang began her run on July 3 from Hainan Island and covered 2,212 miles (3,560 kilometers) in 55 days before Beijing.

The 4-feet tall girl, weighs 44 pounds (20 kilograms). She ran an average of 40 miles (65 kilometers) a day.

Zhang Jianmin, the girl's father, said that she ran in support of the upcoming 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, the news agency Associated Press reported.
