Parts of the Circus Maximus' structure still border the grass-covered tracks, but the modern park now hosts more musical stars than famed charioteers.

On July 2, 2005, thousands of fans gathered at the circus to watch acts such as Faith Hill and Duran Duran perform during Live 8, one of ten benefit concerts held to raise awareness about poverty in Africa.
