Chetumal, Mexico, August 21, 2007—A dog walks through floodwaters after Hurricane Dean dumped heavy rains along Mexico's Caribbean coast.

Dean a Category 5 storm, was the third-most intense Atlantic hurricane to make landfall since record keeping began in the 1850s, the Associated Press reported.
