Budslav, Belarus, July 2, 2007—Rivulets of light stream through the village of Budslav in a summertime showing of devotion.

The procession marked the end of a five-day pilgrimage from the Belarusian capital of Minsk some 90 miles (150 kilometers) to the south.

The yearly rite brings hundreds of worshippers to the town to honor the icon of the Mother of God of Budslav, a gilded depiction of the Virgin Mary known as the Protector of Belarus that is kept as a national shrine.
