Massive Earthquake Rocks Japan

A train car was derailed at Kashiwazaki train station due to an earthquake in northwestern Japan on the morning of July 16, 2007. No one was injured in the derailment.

The 6.6 magnitude earthquake disrupted rail traffic, and East Japan Railway Company, the country's largest train operator, halted parts of it bullet train services.
