Spanish bullfighter Ivan Vicente fights a bull in the bullring of Pamplona, Spain on July 7, 2007.

At the end of a fight, the matador faces the bull with a small red cape (muleta) and a sword. With the muleta he maneuvers the bull in a series of intricate passes and finally brings the bull into a position to stab the animal between the shoulder blades.

The bulls that run the San Fermín festival weigh between 1,400 pounds (635 kilograms) and 1,530 pounds (693 kilograms). On Sunday, July 15, revelers will run with the most feared breed of the Spanish bulls, called Miuras.
