Budapest, Hungary, March 17, 2007In what could be called the week's most peaceful protest, thousands of antiwar demonstrators holding lit torches formed a giant "peace" sign in Budapest's Hero's Square on Saturday.

The symbolic gesture was one of a number of events held to protest the ongoing conflict in Iraq on the fourth anniversary of the war's start.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Congress is expected to vote this week on whether to submit new legislation requiring all U.S. combat troops to withdraw from Iraq by 2008. White House spokesperson Tony Snow said such a bill "has zero chance of being enacted into law," according to a Reuters report.
