Exotic New Orchids Discovered in New Guinea

This newly discovered species of orchid greets viewers—and would-be pollinators—with a colorful yawn.

WWF scientists came across the newfound flower, along with seven other previously unknown species, near Papua New Guinea's Lake Kutubu, which gave this orchid its scientific name—Cadetia kutubu.
