The Niagara River, which forms a portion of the U.S.-Canada boundary, is best known for its massive waterfalls. The falls were formed approximately 10,000 years ago as eroding glaciers allowed the waters of Lake Erie to flow into Lake Ontario. Present-day Niagara Falls (wallpaper: rainbow over Niagara Falls) is over 150 feet (46 meters) high.
