New Marine Species Discovered in Indonesia

This flamboyant "flasher wrasse fish is one of several new species discovered during the recent survey. The fish get their name from the brilliant flashes of color the males use to attract females to mate.

Along with the equally colorful damselfish, wrasses are often among the highlights of reef-diving excursions.
