Best Photo—Mountain Landscape: Ice to Sky by Darrell Wilks of Calgary, Alberta, Canada

The Athabasca Glacier, located in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada, is a huge river of ice flowing from the Columbia Icefield, Wilks explained in a statement.

On this overcast, but not overly cold, day it took some time to get the picture. My travel companions patiently waited in the truck while I stubbornly waited for the light. The clouds were moving fast, but not fast enough. The sun kept popping in and out of view, teasing me with bits of light on the mountain.
