Discovery Rests on Launch Pad

Pilot Mark Kelly fixes his glove during suit-up prior to the July 4 launch of shuttle mission STS-121. The latest mission is the 115th shuttle flight and the 18th U.S. flight to the International Space Station.

During the 13-day mission, shuttle crew are testing new equipment and procedures to improve shuttle safety, as well as delivering supplies and making repairs to the International Space Station.
