Video: Baby Duck "Parajumpers" Take the Plunge

May 9, 2006—You can almost hear her say, Get your tailfeathers down here right now!

This female wood duck appears to have the best intentions for her brood. But to humans, asking the newly hatched chicks to jump 15 feet (4.5 meters) out of a tree seems pretty demanding.

Watch the young duck "parajumpers" follow orders and take the plunge to join their mother in the lake below.
