Palestinians jailed for security offenses pace the yard of their compound on November 6 in northern Israel's Megiddo Prison. More than a thousand prisoners have been living in cramped tents while construction begins on a new ward for the facility.

Israeli prisoners working on the expansion project recently uncovered the ruins of what archaeologists say could be the oldest Christian church in Israel. The find sits near the biblical site of Armageddon, where some Christians believe the final battle between good and evil will take place.
