Upper and lower jaw fragments from the newly discovered small dinosaur Falcarius utahensis are shown with a U.S. one-cent coin for scale. The teeth are leaf-shaped, ideal for shredding plant material. By contrast, bladelike, serrated teeth are seen in meat-eating dinosaurs, researchers say. Falcarius likely ate both plants and meat, according to scientists.
