Dukha hunters with guns slung over their shoulders leave on a hunting expedition. Mountains rise in the background near the the border between Mongolia and the Russian region of Tyva.

Anthropologist Hamid Sadar suggests the creation of a wildlife refuge in the forest shared by these two countries could help to mitigate the impacts of commercial hunting on the Dukha, and protect an area for the Dukha to continue living their traditional livelihood.
