"Capturing a natural predation requires tremendous dedication, good conditions, and a certain degree of luck," photographer Chris Fallows said. "Outside of these elements, the placement of the boat, the angle of the sun, and the actual breach itself all need to be perfect for a great image. ... Although tragic, the swift death of the small Cape fur seals is one of the most humane in the animal kingdom, lasting in most cases less than a minute."
