The elegant ancient Arabian city of Hatra, dating to the third century B.C., graces a site in northern Iraq. A team of archaeologists on a National Geographic expedition visited Hatra, finding the site well-guarded by Coalition troops but discovering that some ancient statues had been damaged since the war with the United States in April.
