Le Le is a four-year-old male giant panda from the Shanghai Zoo in China. Ya Ya is a two-year-old female from the Beijing Zoo. On loan for ten years to the Memphis Zoo, Tennessee, they are the newest giant pandas in the United States.

Researchers from five universities will study the new pandas to learn more about the species' diet and foraging strategy.
