Today, thousands of impoverished Peruvians are leaving farms and villages in the Andes and migrating to the Amazon desperately seeking jobs as loggers. As they make their way into the forest in search of mahogany and cedar, the increasing presence of outsiders and pressure on food and the environment is forcing the isolated natives to go farther and farther into the forest.
