A reconstruction of the dromfosaur Microraptor gui shows the morphology and distribution of feathers. Longer feathers, ranging from 25 to 30 millimeters (0.98 to 1.2 inches) cover its body, while shorter feathers cover its head. The accompanying scale bar shows six centimeters (2.4 inches).
