Researchers used GPS/radio collars to track the year-long migration patterns of elephants in the Sahelian region of West Africa. The ancient migration route of these desert pachyderms is believed to be the longest range of any of Africa's elephants.

Use the play and pause buttons to start and stop the migration, or click on any month to see that month's data.
