How About a Lick of Ox Tongue Ice Cream?

The Japanese have created an ice cream flavor designed to appeal to meat lovers: ox tongue.

That and other unusual flavors of ice cream for taste connoisseurs were offered at an ice cream exhibition in Tokyo, the newspaper Mainichi reported. The flavors ranged from eel, octopus, and crab to chicken leg.

Vegetarians weren't left out: They could ask for a cool scoop of cactus, noodle, or sweet potato ice cream.

Pets weren't overlooked either. Also available was Wanko No Aisu, an ice treat specially prepared for dogs. Prepared from a special recipe, it is said to taste like yogurt but contains little lactose so it's better suited to canine stomachs.
