Finally, she must link forest management and conservation efforts with broader national goals, including infrastructure development such as road and dam building, health and population programs, and decentralization planning and administration.

This is the endgame for Indonesia's precious biodiversity. Megawati must act quickly if Indonesia is going to save its forests. By doing so, she can establish a legacy that no other Indonesia president has had the will to accomplish.
